DEAR LAMP! IT WAS NICE HAVING YOU AGAIN IN MY ARMS AGAIN.

DEAR LAMP! IT WAS NICE HAVING YOU AGAIN IN MY ARMS AGAIN.

Growing up, I was fit, handsomely beautiful and cute.

Not until I had a change in how I look that night, I came home from DMGS ONITSHA.

I wouldn’t say much because nwoke aburo story teller, you can read me up on journals, press news, BBC and CNN.

Some are documentaries they did on my story.

This few times getting burns and beautiful ready took a whole lot on me, it was a rough one. (THE PAGE, THE GROUP, THE WHATSAPP GROUP) and keeping up and running all of them at once and even working with international bodies.

I made a PLEDGE on my interview with BBC that I will create an NGO that helps  the burns victims or survivor’s but not in  the hospital but when they must have been discharged and sent to the OPD  out patient department, my duty there will start, by assuring them that the world change towards them, no matter there social strater, age and time.

That they should understand that, things are not going to be normal no more; People will leave, use and dump them.

They are going to have PTSD, ANXIETY, DEPRESSIVE EPISIODES yes they will be kept on medications to beat some of them, they will need someone to talk to them, they will be rejected, chosen over and so much more.

Yes, I have degrees but I still feel and hear voices of things I would or could have done if I did not have the burns scars, people I would have been with, relationships I would have had, jobs I would have gotten and all.

(A RECAP: I was in my room, a rainy night at WOMEN HOSTEL OGIDI, I was reading so the lamp was low on kerosene I needed to refill, that was how the lamp exploded on my pajamas, causing a catastrophic damage on my face, chest, and so on with 3rd degree burns).

So why I am I writing this? It is because I saw a DEAR LAMP AGAIN AFTER OVER 20 YEARS.

The memory came all back; it was teary at first and amazing later on.

Yeah I look amazing, DIAMOND IN THE ROUGH.

I have been getting in touch and getting a lot reaching out from women and men that kids are burns victims. Even as a parent it hits hard on them remembering how much they cared for their child before the incident and how their friends might be sidling them because of their kid or kids that are burns victims and so much other psychological issues that comes up with burns victims.

Dear Parents: I know maybe one or two people reading this may have a son or daughter that is a burns victim, please try as much as possible to get them a THERAPUTIC SESSION, it will help them in their growth. Booking a session will help both the parent and the child, I did lack this that I am saying now, but having a major in psychology did help.

You can as well reach out to me for counselling, guidance, audience and so much more.

This is the very type of lamp I as the oldest child of my dad cleaned everyday and lit for all the rooms and passage during the Nigerian civil way years as a young teen. The late 60's. God saved and protected me. I thank you Lord. Sometimes those lamps would over flow causing black smoke and I would hurt/burn my fingers trying to put out the flame. Such nostalgia. Huuumm... I shudder at the thought.

Engagement Ring

She/He has worn Engagement Ring for years and SO? TODAY I want to clear some perceived perceptions of some people that go about making a yab of other peoples life ordeal. It's not fair nor kind. Some of them are losing it, their MINDS, EMOTIONS, DRIVE TO LIFE AND MUCH MORE. They met themselves, liked each other so much and probably on the first date, the guy said, "you will be my wife" and the  girl/woman chuckled and went on to different topic to move away from that discussion and more so she has been told such line from a guy or two so she's not interested in that, in her mind she wants to enjoy the moment and move on. After a week of constant calls, messages and prove of love, she decided to give a slight turn to this guy unknowingly to her she fell in. She still had RESERVATIONS!! But the guy was so happy and needed her in his life. This lady saw the Genuine Love & Affection and started modelling the guy to her taste and to drop some bushy behaviours, ...

ARE YOU HAPPY?

True Self KAY ARE YOU HAPPY? True life story POST WARNING: The post you are about to read is a very deep thought processed post and it’s not just a random post. Read this post with all the attention, mental alertness you can ever give to a post. It’s a brief shocker I received from my personal surgeon. Kay are you happy? It’s been a long while since I visited my plastic surgeon, about 14 to 16 years I guess. I called him up and informed I want to see him for a brief chat and health checkup, he obliged and booked me. That morning, it wasn’t conducive for me due to few changes in plan but eventually I made it to his office. At the reception, the nurse on duty asked me to wait but my surgeon overheard me and said, 'Obum, come in.   I'm so sorry none of all these nurses know you, grab a seat let’s get to the reason why you are here!' Doctor: So it’s been years Obum. i remember t...
