A SOUL THAT NEEDS A SURGERY⭐

It kills me to think that if a woman as stunning and successful as Beyoncé could succumb in any way to the insecurity foisted on females by our looks-oriented culture, then what hope do i have..lol– what hope does any woman in our society – have?.  He’s topped numerous ‘Sexiest Men’ lists and bagged the beautiful Kristen Stewart as a girlfriend - yet Robert Pattison still has body confidence issues. It wouldn’t be an exaggeration to say there’s a good  billion  girls and women who would kill to be Beyoncé Knowles—to have her face and hair and body, not to mention her fame and power or a good billion boys and men who would kill to be Robert Pattison- to have his body, face not to mention his fame and money. I have a very sweet namesake, though stubborn and I want him to feel good about the way he looks – and of course I do think he’s handsome, both inside and out. But what if he didn’t? What if he wasn’t happy with his face, nose or his ears or his hands...

I HIT THE BOTTOM, GOT BUSY AND SURVIVED❤

I HIT THE BOTTOM, GOT BUSY AND SURVIVED. I shall never forget the day, a few years ago, when Mrs Adekunle Ogunsanya told me a story of her life. (I have not used her real name).    She told me about how tragedy had struck her home, not once but twice. The first tragedy that had struck her was when she lost her four-year old daughter. People called her all sorts of bad names (mostly the in-laws), tagging her a witch that she ate up her daughter. Amidst what she was going through, the husband was not helping matters but worsened the case.  Three months later, her husband was sacked from the company he works for…and who got the blame, obviously everything was hurled at her even without no one knowing that she went to the MDs office the next day to cry and plead on her husband’s case.. This double bereavement (rather triple bereavement because obviously she had no peace of mind at home) was almost too much to bear. “I couldn’t take it,” this mother told me. “I couldn’t...

Why do people give people false hope?

Why do people give people false hope? 2 days earlier I was talking to my to sister (extended) and when she came around after a long chat with her  I just brought about this topic, IS THERE ANY FUTURE FOR SOMEONE THAT HAS HIV/ AIDS? She didn’t think it twice and said yes a very bright future is there for the person in question that has the virus. I was so wow what made her say such? She also continued saying that the person can even do, perform well than those who doesn’t have the virus and she said that besides we ought to love one another as Christ loved us! Well well a lady saying such things that call for a great knowledge or understanding she might have had probably from life’s dealings and so. And I said sis I had to rephrase the question to you now! Will you personally have dealing with a man that’s HIV POSITIVE? Now the look on her face was not the same like when I just threw the question before openly, now she took a deep breath and now said she can’t have anyt...

How to Find Your Passion

How to Find Your Passion Your passion is the reason you wake up in the morning, and just the thought of it can keep you up late with excitement. But not everyone knows exactly what his passion is right away. Don't worry -- whether you're looking for your passion to find a new career, or if you're looking to get completely immersed in a new hobby or activity, there are a number of things you can do to find your passion. Think about what you love to do. To find your passion, you should first take a look at your own life and see if you're already doing something that you love -- but just not doing it very often. Figuring out what you really love to do and channeling it in a productive way that turns it into a passion can help you explore your heart's desires. Here are some of the things you should ask yourself when you brainstorm what you love to do: What are my goals? What do I do most of the time? What do I keep on trying to do? If I could do one thing...

Handling Fears:

Handling Fears: When we get triggered by an event, it’s tempting to follow the accompanying thoughts down a rabbit hole to the useless world of doubts and negative forecasts, and other “oh no’s and “what if’s.” Doing so is usually counterproductive however and likely to intensify fear instead, perhaps to the point of activating defense strategies, and other stuck, harmful patterns. When thoughts intensify fears to levels that flood the mind and body with cortisol, fear can virtually shut down most normal processes of the body to include higher-thinking brain functions. At best, this can leave us feeling powerless, perhaps losing our sense of hope. There are more effective, and proven successful ways to handle fears, to learn and benefit from them, perhaps even support loved ones to do the same by modeling healthy responses. Before outlining some steps, there are several things to consider about fear: There are two “types” of fear depend...
